Teaching Experience

I have 5 years of course development and implementation experience. I have worked in educational technology for over 15 years and have a uniquely comprehensive understanding of the theory and practice informing effective course design. I love teaching, partly because my courses provide students an opportunity to consider the thing they are both most and least familiar with – human culture. I seek to communicate the inherent excitement of learning about different cultures, challenging conceptions of cultural normalcy, and contextualizing relevant theory and practice with student desires to create change.

Course that I teach include:

  • Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (ANT 102) – Mohave Community College
  • Introduction to Environmental Science, with Lab (ENV 101) – Mohave Community College
  • Native Language Preservation (CSP 638) -Goucher College MA in Cultural Sustainability
  • Culture and Calamity (CSP 642) -Goucher College MA in Cultural Sustainability
  • Environmental Governance (ENV 621) -Goucher College MA in Environmental Studies
  • Capstone Thesis (CSP 675) -Goucher College MA in Cultural Sustainability
  • Environment, Culture and Community (ENV 623) – Goucher College MA in Environmental Studies
